New testing rules introduced

PHNOM PENH – Quarantine for unvaccinated foreign travelers entering Cambodia has been cut from 14 to seven days.

People who travel by air must take a rapid test at the end of the quarantine period, while those who come by land must take rapid tests at the start and the end of quarantine, the Health Ministry said on April 21.

On March 17, Cambodia lifted mandatory COVID-19 tests for fully vaccinated travelers and removed the requirement for travelers to present a negative PCR test taken 72 hours before their arrival.

The government also announced that the visa on arrival for all travelers to Cambodia was being restarted.

Cambodia has reported 29 new COVID-19 cases with seven new imported cases on April 21, all of the Omicron variant, with no new fatalities, the ministry said. From January 2020 to date, the country has registered 136,146 cases with 3,056 deaths.
