The Cambodian Business Expo to be Held in California in November 2023

PHNOM PENH — Around 100 Cambodian businesses are expected to showcase their food products in southern California during an event organized in United States by the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce. Held on Nov. 9 in Long Beach, the Cambodia Business Expo will feature diverse products ranging from rice to pepper and cashew nuts.



"This event presents an unparalleled platform to showcase Cambodia's diverse product range,” said Kim Chha Hout, honorary consul general of Cambodia and chairman of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce. “Attendees will have the opportunity to explore and experience products such as distinctive Cambodian food items…and a host of other unique products."



As the consul general pointed out, Cambodians taking part in the event will be in a position to meet with business people at the event and discuss the U.S. market potential for their products and investment opportunities for the future.



Over the years, the United States has played an important role in Cambodia's international trade dynamics. In 2021, Cambodian products exported to the U.S. totaled $8.7 billion, accounting for 40 percent of Cambodia's total exports.



Cambodia's main exports to the United States have include apparel, footwear, and travel goods, providing employment for approximately one million Cambodians, most of them women.



The U.S. exports to Cambodia in 2021 totaled $414 million and consisted mainly of vehicles, animal feed, and digital services.
