Athletes represent honour of the nation



PHNOM PENH– Cambodia’s SEA Games team was urged to further strengthen discipline and ethics as it took part in a workshop.



The workshop, on May 3 and 4, was held at the National Sports Training Center under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Cambodia will compete in 33 sports in the Games in Vietnam from May 12 to 23.



Mil Cado, Deputy Director-General of Sports, reminded the team to maintain discipline, respect the rules and ethics and maintain the dignity and honor of the nation.



He also asked everyone to be clear about travel information, accommodation and matches in Vietnam, especially about the relevant documents.



Pon Sok, president of the National Sports Training Center, said the course is to make coaches, assistant coaches and athletes understand the mission and know their roles and responsibilities, adhering to the rules, ethics, dignity and national pride. 



Sok also highlight the role the head of the mission to lead and manage the travel of the delegations through official communications between the organizing committee and the sports teams while solving all relevant requests of players, coaches and sports officials.



Anti-doping effects, first aid methods, diet and fair play rules were also detailed in the refresher course.
