Hoop Takraw Adds to Bronze Tally

PHNOM PENH - Cambodia claimed two more bronze medals in the men’s and women’s hoop takraw, with 460 points and 230 points respectively, on May 10 at the SEA Games.



Myanmar won two gold medals with 680 points earned by the men’s team and 750 points by the women’s team.



The Philippines claimed two silver medals with 660 points scored by the men’s team and 570 points by the women’s team.





The matches, played at the Olympic National Stadium, lasted for 30 minutes and were played for one set.



The game requires each player of the 5-member group to kick the ball into any of the three hoops which are hung 4.75 meters from the ground for the men’s teams and 4.65 meters for the women’s teams. One goal earns 10 points.
