Four More Deaths as 360 New COVID-19 Cases Found

Vaccination continues to roll out across the red zones, but few residents are fully vaccinated.



PHNOM PENH--On May 17, Cambodian health authorities reported 356 new locally transmitted COVID-19, along with four imported cases. Four more people have died, bringing the death toll to 154 nationwide.



According to the Ministry of Health, 886 more people recovered from COVID-19 yesterday.



This brings the total number of recoveries up to 13,006, while Cambodia has reported 22,544 cases in total.



The Ministry of Defense said that after 16 days, the vaccination campaign for people in the red zones has so far seen 694,213 people receive their first dose, but just 3,596 red zone residents have had both doses.



Nationwide, a total of 2,082,282 people have had their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine while 1,185,234 people have had both.
