Cambodia Triumps in Vovinam

PHNOM PENH – Cambodian athletes have won four gold medals from vovinam, raising the country’s gold medals tally to double digits. Many other medals were won on May 6.



Ly Boramy won three gold medals. Eh Vireakkhamchit Phoutang also defended his gold medal in the 65kg event. Em Chankanika won silver from the sport.

Cambodia also claimed gold in Ju-Jitsu and Kun Khmer.

Earlier, Cambodia won gold in E-sport, aquathlon, weightlifting (51kg) and soft tennis. Cambodia also won silver and bronze medals in petanque, Ouk Chaktrang, E-sport and karate.

As of 5pm, Cambodia had won 15 gold medals, the first time the country has won two-digit gold medals since 1971 when it won 19.
