Cambodia Joins Indonesia and Thailand in Volleyball Semis

PHNOM PENH – Cambodia’s indoor men’s volleyball team, along with Indonesia and Thailand, will advance to the semi-finals.



The other semi-final place will depend on the result of the Malaysia vs Vietnam  match from group B. Cambodia and Indonesia qualified in Group A.



After beating the Philippines 3-0 in the second match of the group on May 4, Cambodia had scored six points from two matches.



In the first match, Cambodia, a bronze medalist in the 31st Games in Vietnam, defeated Singapore 3-0.



The Indonesian team booked a place in the semi-final after winning two games in a row, with the first beating the Philippines 3-0 and the second beating Singapore 3-0.



Cambodia and Indonesia will compete for the top spot in Group A.



In Group B, the Thai team booked their place in the semi-finals first after picking up six points from two matches and standing at the top. Thailand beat Malaysia 3-0 in the first match before beating Vietnam in the second match 3-1.



In Group B, Myanmar lost their chance to advance to the next round after losing to Malaysia in the second match 3-1. In the first match, Myanmar lost to Vietnam 3-0. In the final match in Group B, Thailand will meet Myanmar.



The men's indoor volleyball final will take place on May 6 from noon at the National Olympic Stadium.
