97 Senior Executives Completed the Leading Digitalization and Transformation of the Cambodian Economy Program

Congratulations to the 97 participants on completing the executive program on Leading Digitalization and Transformation of the Cambodian Economy from Stanford Center for Professional Development with the facilitation from the American University of Phnom Penh and funding from Khmer Enterprise.
This executive education program aimed to prepare the next generation of Cambodian leaders for the advancement of Cambodia’s digitalization by exposing them to new practices and insights from Stanford University, Silicon Valley, and other cases in Asia. Throughout the five-week program, the participants from both private and public sectors had gained new knowledge on human-centered design thinking, leading innovation in teams, and managing digital transformation within their organization through a series of live webinars, online self-paced courses, and group discussions.
The program was completed with the capstone project presentation that enables the participants to integrate their learning outcomes to solve or improve current challenges using digital transformation in a wide range of sectors in Cambodia including agriculture, business, finance, health, education, and transportation.
H.E. Dr. Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, stated that realizing digital transformation requires the shifts in mindset, workforce, and technology that together can enable new operating models, set strategic directions, and create a value proposition. Our government has prepared various policies and relevant action plans to build enabling factors and groundwork, such as expanding our telecoms infrastructure and developing coherent network and digital systems, to facilitate our goals toward convenient and transparent public service delivery.
H.E. Vongsey Vissoth, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund (EDF), stated that the world is currently facing a rapid digital transformation which is a part of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 derived from the global pandemic. In this regard, both public and private sectors in Cambodia have to adapt to gain more economic productivity, connectivity, and diversification for sustainable economic development and improving social welfare. Therefore, this training program, to which Khmer Enterprise has provided the support, showcases its contributive efforts with the Royal Government of Cambodia to build the foundation for the digital economy and society by providing relevant educational programs, including entrepreneurship, digitalization, and other soft skills, on the top of the digital infrastructures, before moving toward digital adoption and transformation phase in the next 10 to 15 years.
This program is successfully delivered with the combined effort of the American University of Phnom Penh, Khmer Enterprise, and supported by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
