12th Meeting of Board of Trustees of Entrepreneurship Development Fund to Discuss New strategies of Khmer Enterprise in Response to Entrepreneurs' Need

On Friday 7th October 2022, His Excellency Vongsey Vissoth, Minister attached to the Prime Minister, Permanent Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Chairman Board of Trustees of Entrepreneurship Development Fund (EDF), led the “12th Board of Trustees Meeting” at Khmer Enterprise office.

During the meeting, the board of trustees reviewed and evaluated the work progress and important achievements achieved in the second quarter of 2022. On this occasion, Khmer Enterprise presented new strategic plans for the implementation of core programs aligned with the current trend. Khmer Enterprise highlighted projects that are aligned with the government’s economic policy to promote entrepreneurship in Cambodia to run more smoothly, focused on support for four sectors: services, agriculture, technology, and manufacturing.

Simultaneously, the Royal Government has also built an ecosystem to the promotion the entrepreneurship vibrantly, which ups to now, Khmer Enterprise having its vision to become the national platform for promoting entrepreneurial activities, have continued to expand the entrepreneurship promotion programs such as business model competition for high school students, start-ups,  and small and medium enterprises,  establish and co-sponsorship the new training programs to meet the needs of growth of local entrepreneurs, enhance the scope of business networking both national and international, and learn about enterprise investment projects in Cambodia.

At the same time, the Board of Trustee also welcomed the new Board of Trustee members from the private and public sectors, who provided the strategic direction to Khmer Enterprise to continue the next year program.

Lastly, H.E. Vongsey Vissoth, Minister attached to Prime Minister, Permanent Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance and Chairman of EDF Board of Directors expressed his gratitude to his excellency, Oknha, and all Board of Directors members as well as the team for their high commitment in completing a remarkable achievement to support Cambodia’s ecosystem to become more vibrant with sustainable development.
